Dr Tanzilah Barrow (Founder)

BA (Hons) BMChB (Hons) MA (Oxon) PGCert FRCR CCT (UK)

I am a Consultant Abdominopelvic Radiologist at a large NHS Trust (UK) and North Central Regional Health Authority (Trinidad). Upon graduating from the University of Oxford, I completed postgraduate Radiology training in Manchester. I am an abdominal Radiology Consultant with subspecialty interests including prostate imaging, hepaticopancreaticobiliary disease, haematological malignancy, gynaecological disease and oncological PET CT imaging. Currently I am the Bowel Cancer Screening Program imaging lead for my NHS Trust.

My passion and dedication to the field of Radiology has led me to found this network of subspecialists. After migrating with my family to Trinidad in 2018, I wanted to bridge the gap between patients in the region and expert Radiologists in the United Kingdom.

Virtual Radiology Consult provides affordable, timely access to a subspecialist UK Radiology opinion to all patients regardless of their country of residence or financial status.

Dr Maria Efstahiou

MBChB FRCR CCT (UK) PhD

I am a Consultant Cardiothoracic Radiologist at a large NHS Trust (UK) and part of the University Faculty in Athens Greece. After my Radiology Core training in Athens Greece, I was awarded with the Greek Radiology Society scholarship and completed my subspecialty training in the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals in London.

I have been a Cardiothoracic Radiologist since 2017 with fields of interest and specialty being cardiac imaging, pre procedural cardiac devices planning, lung cancer including screening and interstitial lung disease.

I am honoured to be taking part in this pioneering project that aims to bridge the gap of patient-diagnosis-treatment pathways across borders. Raising the stakes of equal health care with subspecialty medical input to all.

Dr Amit Herwadkar

MBBS MD Radiology (Mumbai) FRCR (UK) MSc (Paris) CCST (UK)

I am a Consultant Neuroradiologist at a large UK Neurosciences center, where I have been based since 2004. I graduated with MBBS degree and subsequent MD in Radiology from Mumbai University, India. Subsequently, I completed Radiology training in Manchester, UK and was awarded the Rowan Williams gold medal in final FRCR examination. My training in Neuroradiology was at Salford Royal Hospital with a subsequent neurovascular interventional Boston Scientific fellowship at Newcastle and Cook fellowship at Brussels and Bruges Neurosciences centres. I completed an MSc in Neurovascular diseases at Paris University.

My interest in diagnostic Neuroradiology is diverse and it includes Adult and Paediatrics. Apart from routine Neurosurgical and Neurological interests, I provide radiology input into complex spine, adult complex Neurology, Neurometabolic, Neurovascular, Stroke and Cochlear implants.

I look forward to being part of this project, initiated by Dr Barrow, to collaborate with patients and colleagues in Trinidad.

Dr Anand Kirwadi

MBBS FRCR ESSR Dip (MSK) CCT (UK)

I am a Musculoskeletal and Sports injury Consultant Radiologist based at a large NHS Trust. After undertaking Radiology training in the UK I went on to complete a Musculoskeletal imaging fellowship at the Royal National Orthopedic Hospital, Stanmore in London and the European School of Radiology scholarship at Heidelberg University (Germany).

My areas of subspecialist interest include sports injuries, rheumatological conditions as well as soft tissue and bone sarcoma. I am currently the lead radiologist for tertiary soft tissue sarcoma referrals and for Greater Manchester Oswestry Sarcoma (GMOSS) Service where all the tertiary care referrals for bone and soft tissue sarcoma for the north-west are discussed.

I have a keen interest in both undergraduate and post graduate teaching and have lectured both nationally and internationally. I am happy to join this group of colleagues in our vision of removing geographical boundaries to Radiology subspecialty opinions.

Dr Nida Saeefar Rehman

MBBS FRCR CCT (UK)

I am a UK-trained Consultant Breast Radiologist. I have worked in multiple UK NHS trusts across Greater Manchester during my postgraduate Radiology training, including the largest breast unit in the region. I have achieved level 2 competence in breast imaging and have been working as a Consultant breast radiologist (both screening and symptomatic) at an NHS trust UK since 2020. Currently, I am working remotely for NHS via a teleradiology company.

I am delighted to be joining this project which aims to bring together global experience and expertise in diagnostics to improve patient care and provide services to those that may not otherwise be able to access it.
